On the media coverage of Jason Collins and his coming out

On the media coverage of Jason Collins and his coming out

From a conversation with a mentor today, I’m thinking: How much “prouder” of basketballer Jason Collins would we be if he saved a child from a raging fire? I’m just not buying into someone announcing – at the twilight of his career – “I have a sexual attraction to men” as something to admire. Were […]

Why does Santa hate Jewish kids?

Why does Santa hate Jewish kids?

I saw this tongue-in-cheek question posted by one of my Jewish Facebook friends, and it inspired these thoughts… “Why does Santa hate Jewish kids?” I grew up a secular Jew, son of a Jewish Mom and agnostic Dad (who was an altar boy at an Anglican church as a kid). We celebrated Christmas every year, […]

“Is The Christian Right’s Influence Over?” asks CNN

“Is The Christian Right’s Influence Over?” asks CNN

I just checked out the main page of CNN and saw this headline, following the re-election of Barack Obama – “Is the Christian Right’s influence over?” I have not clicked the link, but I have provided it for you… I have not clicked the link because I am pretty sure that it ONLY refers to […]

Music is so “dumbed down” today

Music is so “dumbed down” today

It is hard to write relevant music that can be enjoyed by all ages when mainstream music has been so dumbed down that it accepts and embraces absolute mediocrity. Featured recently on Shazam was an up and coming artist named “Big Sean” (signed by Kanye West) who starts off his set with this song: Just […]

Reason #1,023,472 of why we need Jesus

Reason #1,023,472 of why we need Jesus

Said Jesus in John 15:18-21 “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the […]

How serious is Jesus about blessing our enemies?

How serious is Jesus about blessing our enemies?

Very! In fact, just before Jesus reveals his betrayer, Jesus washes the betrayer’s feet! John 13:8-18 “No,” said Peter, “you shall never wash my feet.” Jesus answered, “Unless I wash you, you have no part with me.” “Then, Lord,” Simon Peter replied, “not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!” Jesus […]

A sad day for freedom of expression in Russia?

A sad day for freedom of expression in Russia?

Today, a Russian court sentenced three women to two-years in prison for “hooliganism.” These three women – members of the group “Pussy Riot” – went to the altar of a Russian Orthodox Church in masks, dancing, singing mock prayers to the Virgin Mary to remove Putin from office, and doing multiple signings of the cross. […]

An Election 2012 thought…

An Election 2012 thought…

A few months before the election, in 2008, I made a YouTube video that primarily made this point: if the Antichrist is out there, the easiest way for him to get conservative evangelicals to vote for him is to run on a stance of pro-life and anti-gay. The ultimate point was that who you vote […]

A few things today…

A few things today…

First, I played around with Premiere Elements 10 today, briefly… particularly the “crop” function to get some split screen stuff. Subject matter: a video I have wanted to do for awhile on how folks on YouTube create “EXPOSED” videos against each other, misusing the term (as the stuff they are exposing is already exposed). Second, […]

The Book Of Romans

The Book Of Romans

Check out the channel: jesus7days365. If you would like to join us in the reading, please let me know! We would love to have you. For the last 16 days, I have read the Book of Romans at the Jesus7days365 YouTube channel. The Book of Romans is nothing more than a long letter that Paul […]

In May, 2005, Rob was a secular, Jewish, thirty-something, Los Angeles, personal injury attorney whose idea of getting up early on a Sunday was getting up for the third quarter of the first televised, NFL games.

Thirsting on the idea of playing in a band for the first time in a decade, Rob finally accepted his neighbor's request to get up at seven-in-the-morning on Sundays in order to participate.

Eleven months later, his world was turned upside down by Jesus. Instantly, he began leading songs on the worship team and was the worship leader from 2010-2022.

Rob is now the worship leader at Calvary Chapel Malibu. He released his fifth album “The Author of My Story” on December 15, 2023, available on all of your favorite streaming platforms… and he is preparing to launch a new Christian teaching podcast called “Christ Supremacist.”
